New Orleans Neighborhood Update :: Carrollton
Everyone probably has a little bit different view on where the boundaries of Carrollton are, but we’ve chosen to define the neighborhood as between Carrollton and State, and St. Charles and S. Claiborne. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at how home values in Carrollton are changing.
Single-family homes in Carrollton
There’s been a trend of rising prices in the area since 2016, and it looks like this year won’t be any different. Median sold prices have increased yet again, ending May at $575,000. Inventory is consistently between 4-5 months, so it’s a seller’s market in this part of New Orleans.
At the same time that prices are going up, the average days to sell has dropped from 55 in 2018 to 44 in 2019. Homes are selling at an average of 98.8% of the list price, so buyers shouldn’t expect to do any hardcore negotiating with most homeowners.
