Lafitte Greenway
Stretching 2.6 miles from the French Quarter to Bayou St. John, the Lafitte Greenway is both a linear park and a mecca for bicyclists and pedestrians that want to avoid most vehicular traffic during their runs and rides.
TIP: Riders and walkers still need to be careful crossing Carrollton Avenue and Broad Street, because we all know how our residents drive, but most of the route is smooth sailing.
Living near such the Greenway gives you year round access to not just the park, but some amazing New Orleans neighborhoods that line both sides and ends of it. From the historic feel of the Quarter to the residential area of Mid City (and all points in between), we’ve created a search just for those of you that want to be near this up and coming feature.
