Calling it a buyer’s market or a seller’s market in New Orleans real estate is fraught with risk, since each neighborhood performs differently.
However, if we take a look at the overall environment, I’m going to call it a balanced market since we’ve been hovering around the 6 months of inventory mark for quite some time.
Will it change? Most definitely.
Which way will it move? Given that we are coming up on the most active selling months of the year, I’d say that we should expect a seller’s market during the summer, returning to a more balanced market in the fall.
