A 2.5 acre park in the Central Business District, Lafayette Square New Orleans is the second oldest square in the city. A popular spot for concerts and festivals, it’s the annual location for the free spring live music series Wednesday at the Square, and has also seen some popular New Orleans festivals get their start.
Right on the Mardi Gras parade route, Lafayette Square is the location for the annual, free LUNA Fete holiday light show that projects onto Gallier Hall.
