St Charles Ave New Orleans LA
When visitors think of mansions and New Orleans, they generally have a visual in mind of St Charles Avenue. Towering oak trees line the street from Lee Circle to the riverbend, creating shade and an ambience that you’ll only find in old southern cities.
Don’t think that antebellum is the only style you’ll find, though. Condos, single family homes, and stately residences all live in harmony along the Avenue.
With the streetcar line running along the entire street, public transportation is right outside your door. It’s a quick ride to an amazing selection of restaurants, shops, and bars. It’s also an easy way to get to the Central Business District (CBD) and French Quarter without the worries about where to park the car, or to get to both Tulane and Loyola Universities.
Remember that living on the Avenue also means living on a parade route if you’re below Napoleon Avenue, so plan for plenty of guests during Mardi Gras!
