What’s the Final Walk Through?
When buying a New Orleans home, you will have the chance to go back through the house before closing. This is known as the final walk through and it’s included as part of the purchase agreement.
When to do the walk through?
Although the contract states up to 5 days prior to the Act of Sale, we recommend that you do it the day before or day of closing, depending on whether the seller is occupying the house or not.
Why do a final walk through?
Stuff happens. You don’t want to skip your walk through only to find out that the seller removed items that were supposed to remain with the property or put holes in the walls during the move out.
A walk through is for your protection, so take advantage of it.
