With the proliferation of cameras on the exterior of homes today, is anyone surprised that sellers may have cameras inside the house as well?
Why should this matter to you as a home buyer?
The assumption is that your conversations with your agent are private and confidential. But if a home owner has surveillance set up in their house (visible or not), that may not be the case.
Don’t give away your bargaining power during the showing by letting your excitement about a property get recorded. The seller may play hard ball if they “overhear” that you’ve seen dozens of houses and this is the only one that meets your needs.
Keep that conversation until you are outside with your agent.
